My first attempt at making money on the Internet is through Associated Content. AC is a site where you can submit any form of writing, whether it be a political article, book review, or ranting about a misc. subject. If it passes the editors inspection, it is "published" and you may then be eligible to earn money. The money earnings are meager at best, however. For a new member, you will only get 1.50$ for every 1,000 views; if you publish enough content and earn enough views you will receive 2.00$ for every 1,000 + benefits.
This site seems perfectly legit from what I've seen.
More sources to come later. I'm aware there are conventional things such as hosting ads, but I'm looking at other sources first.
