OBAMA IS PRESIDENT

Obama has passed the 270 electoral vote threshold, and is now to next president of the United States!

7:24 Obama's Firewall

Virginia, New Mexico, and Colorado are now in Obama's margin, adding 27 more electoral votes. Obama's leads in the major cities and suburbs of Virginia and Colorado are unlikely to be overtopped by other exurbs and rural areas. Texas and Mississippi are now in McCain's electoral vote chest.

6:38 PM Midwest

Obama has won Ohio. If he holds all of the Kerry states, loses all the swing states, he will still win the White House. Indiana and Virginia are on the verge of flipping onto Obama's side. The rural vote is mostly in, and the relibably Democratic cities are still voting.

6:00 PM Update

Obama leads 175-52. All of the Kerry states not on the West Coast are now securely in Obama's margin. Wyoming is now securely in McCain's. North Dakota, Arkansas, Texas, South Dakota, Kansas, and 2 of Nebraska's 3 COngressional districts will likely be called in McCain favour if no Obama upset emerges within 20 minutes.

5:45 PM PST - North East Predictions

Pennsylvania and New Hampshire have now entered Obama's margin, giving him a 64 electoral vote edge and 163 away from the Presidency. Pay close attention to the Florida, Ohio, and Virginia presidential races, Obama is leading in the former 2 and McCain in the latter.

Current Predictions

All of the New England states with the exception of New Hampshire I have called for Obama. Alabama's 11 electoral votes go for McCain.

Obama is shrinking the Republican margins of victory in almost every county in the country, or leading. If McCain can not pull a comeback in the remaining rural counties or suburbs, it's a grim reality for his.
